I really think that Schalke will get serious problems with Elversberg's attacking style. If you would ask me about 2. Bundesliga teams that will cause Schalke much trouble with the way they attack, then I would respond with Magdeburg, Kiel and Elversberg (who all have similar attacking styles). Against the first two teams, Schalke already played at home and conceded three (Magdeburg) and two (Kiel) goals. Schalke's pace issues in the defence should kick in here, and as they will attempt to make the running with their offensive philosophy, they should allow plenty of dangerous fast breaks for Elversberg.

Against Hannover, the win was pretty lucky as Hannover had more expected goals (2.09 and 1.63 for Schalke), and at Nurnberg, they won against a tired opponent through a late set piece goal by Danny Latza. They have improved among their new manager, yes, but they are still far, far away from playing like a promotion contender.

They are coming from three successive wins in the league for the first time this season, and I can’t see the fourth here.

Elversberg's most important defence player Jacobsen is going to return to the lineup after he had missed with a yellow lock last week. They are basically full strength. For the small club, this is an absolute highlight-match and the largest stadium in that Elversberg will have ever played a league game in their club history.

There’s five points between these two teams but Schalke 04 will be looking to build on their form under a new head coach. However, I think they’ll need time and we can’t forget their poor performances so far this season, which put just one point above relegation.

I do know how Elversberg's offensive football looks like, and I am very sure that this style will cause Schalke much trouble. I actually expect Elversberg to score at least 2 goals here, especially due to the poor Schalke’s defense who has conceded 26 goals in 12 games: the second worst in the whole league.
