AZ is having a great season so far even though they lost some very important players this summer. I'm primarily thinking of the left back Kerkez, Reijnders and the great Swedish forward Karlsson. Coach Jansen is one of the best coaches in the Netherlands and AZ is currently a candidate for the Champions League considering that Ajax will certainly not play it. The most important thing for AZ is that they kept the great Greek striker Pavlidis, who started this season in his style and scored nine goals. As far as assists are concerned, the young striker Poku and the Japanese wing back Sugawara dominate. In the last game, AZ demolished Fortuna Sittard with 4-0 at their stadium. They played poorly in the first half, but in the second half they showed that they are in great shape. As for the guests from Poland, they made a big surprise in the first round. In Warsaw, in a fantastic atmosphere, Legia beat favored Aston Villa 3-2. It was one of the best European games that Legia has played in recent times. Legija plays very open football this season, so we will surely see an interesting game.
