In my opinion Liverpool is clear favorite of this game and should be able to make comfortable win with at least 2 goals difference. -1.5 AH on home side looks like very good option to play.

Liverpool have big mental advantage before this game. They played twice against Leicester in 2023 – 3:0 win on away in May in Premier League game and 4:0 win in friendly game in July. I expect another comfortable win.

Obviously, EFL Cup is not the biggest priority for Liverpool in current season, but they won this competition 3 years ago. Liverpool have really many options in attack – they have 5 high quality strikers: Gakpo, Nunez, Salah, Jota and Diaz. All of them played at least 1 minute in all 6 Premier League matches and for sure we will see good players in attack today. That should be very helpful to cover our HC line. Liverpool don’t have any problems with goalscoring – 15 goals scored in 6 Premier League matches looks impressive.

On the other hand Leicester have been relegated to Championship and for them the most important thing is to bounce back to highest level at the end of the season. I don’t believe EFL Cup is priority for them. Leicster coach Enzo Maresca said: “For sure we are going to make changes, no doubt. We have more players that we are using. We are going to continue to use them, because they deserve it. We cannot play every game with the same 11. Some players need a rest and to refresh for Sunday’s game against Blackburn.” For sure we will see on the pitch many second-choice players and that should have very bad impact on guests performance today.

On those circumstances Liverpool at home even with some changes in squad should be simply too good for Leicester.
