It's the last day of the FIBA World Cup! This tournament has been very good and interesting but now it's time to finish it. In the last game of the tournament, Germany and Serbia are competing for the gold medals. In this game, I predict that Germany is going to win.

Both teams shocked in the semifinals. While Serbia was able to stop Canada, Germany played excellent against the USA and won in a high-scoring game. During the group stage, Serbia didn't have the biggest competition because they played against China, Puerto Rico and South Sudan. They lost in the 2nd round to Italy and they recovered very well by crushing the Dominican Republic.

Despite that, they won all 3 games and only against Australia it was a close battle. In the 2nd round, Germany played against Georgia and Slovenia and in both matches, the difference on the scoreboard was very big. One the toughest games for Germany was against Latvia when they won just by 2 points and Dennis Schroder made only 4 shots out of 26.

Why I'm going with Germany? Both teams have very solid rosters. At the same time, I like the German depth better. Dennis Schroder and Franz Wagner are the go-to players for them but Germany also has other great players - Daniel Theis, Mo Wagner, Maodo Lo, Johannes Voigtmann, Johannes Thiemann and Andreas Obst who was phenomenal against the USA. Every single one can be the leader in the game. The Serbs have Bogdan Bogdanovic and Nikola Milutinov and other solid players but their depth isn't so big.

Serbia used their big-man advantage in previous games but that won't be the case in this game because Theis, Wagner, Voigtmann and Thiemann are very tough to play against. I don't see who will be able to guard Schroder while Franz Wagner and Bogdanovic are almost the same level players or Wagner is even better. This should be a very interesting game but I'm predicting Germany's win.
