Huge quality difference here.

Hibernian are nowhere near that level and have a team of very average players on a whole. They even lost to an Andorran team in the previous rounds (Inter Escaldes, 2:1).

They are a very average team from Scotland, who finished 47 points below leaders Rangers and have very little experience in Europe. Their squad value is just 12MM Euros (Aston Villa is 615 MM).

Hibernian struggled in their previous rounds, although their rivals were very weak. They also drew 2:2 with a weak side from Switzerland - Lucerne. In preseason friendlies already played with a Premier League team - Bournemouth (whose level is much worse than Aston Villa) and they were totally outplayed, losing 4:0. They also lost 3:0 with Blackpool, from League One (third category in England).

On the other hand, Aston Villa wants to enter the Conference League groups as well as fight for the trophy, following the example of West Ham last season and wanting to offer fans games with a different stake to the Championship.

Under Spanish coach Unai Emery, Villa are one of the better teams in England and would probably beat Celtic and Rangers. They have a great squad with top players (Digne, Kamara, Zaniolo, Ramsey, Coutinho, Dibu Martinez…) A lot of quality players with plenty experience in big competitions.

They started the season with a shameful defeat 5:1 against Newcastle (TOP4 team in the Premier League), which was followed by a solid victory 4:0 against Everton which surely gave them confidence.

I saw them in preseason against Valencia (where they won 1:2) and played very well, with a lot of pace and quality.

Even if they rest some of the starters from this game they can still bring in quality like Coutinho, Archer, Tielemans, Duran, and Traore so plenty of options to come in and get the job done like they should against a Hibs side that are at the level of a decent League One side or low level Championship at best.

Villa should take this seriously, as they haven't been in a European competition for a while, and it's a good route into the Europa League, as West Ham found out. They’ll probably win both legs, it's just about how many they will score. And seeing the quality difference, I’m expecting at least 2 goals difference in this first game.
