Haugesund is coming from a 1:1 draw against Valerenga, and have won just one of the last 6 games, with 4 defeats. They are 11th after 18 rounds, which is acceptable for them as their main target is to avoid relegation.

At the beginning of the season they were between the main relegation contenders, as their squad is pretty weak and is one of the worst in the Eliteserien. But they have been performing well, especially against mid-table or relegation teams, even better than expected sometimes.

Against top teams they have always suffered defeats recently: 1:2 against Tromso (third in the table), 1:0 against Molde (fourth) and 2:0 against Viking (second). Even in July when they played against Bodo/Glimt lost 2:1.

On the other hand, Bodo/Glimt has the best squad of the league and is a clear title contender. They have lost only three games so far, and the two defeats mentioned came against Viking and Tromso, 2nd and third qualified.

Guests have a lot of quality upfront, with several scorers such as Pellegrino (14 goals), Moumbagna (12 goals) or Gronbaek (8 goals), who have between them more goals scored than the whole team of Haugesund.

They are now only having the same point as Viking in the Eliteserien table after Viking have gone on an incredible 9 league match winning run. It has still been a strong season for Bodo Glimt, but they need to now realise they are in an unexpected title battle, and they can’t afford to drop any more points. Bodo Glimt do have the best away record in the Eliteserien with 7 out of 9 victories and 22 goals scored.

I am not expecting Bodo Glimt to be at their best, but they should have too much quality and ability for Haugesund. A close away win is likely.
