Two biggest relegation candidates who have major problems with resources and goalscorers, are we heading to a goalless draw here?

Cadiz have stayed now miraculously stayed up for several consecutive season, and they have probably been the weakest performers in all of them but the good spirit and luck have favored. I personally love the city and like the club, but the team itself is poor without any excuses and they are never on top of my list to watch if there is something else. (Neither is Getafe.. what a sorry match again yesterday from them, 60 minutes of the extra long match the ball was not in play!)

Back to Cadiz. The preseason results do not reveal much more than scoring problems, even if the opponents have been lower level apart from Las Palmas, to whom to they lost by 1-0 in Marbella training center.

At transfer markets, they have not found any big fish but lost their best striker Bondonga to the Russian league. The biggest signings both come to the left flank with players Hernandez and Machis from Valladolid and Leganes.

On injury list they have Brian Ocampo, Luis Hernández, and Sergi Guardiola; the latter a big miss as he is the key center forward.

They are a lot changed, but as a promoted club they do know the importance of a good start for the season as all points equally count.

The Alaves signings seem better, but the class from where they started as a team was lower so we talk about equal class teams today in general. However I am expecting quite a lot from Sociedad pair defender Gorosabel and midfielder Guevara, Real Madrid midfielder Blanco and especially the experienced Osasuna big man Kike Garcia up front. Young centre-back Rafa Marin is another to watch out.

Alaves lost only 3 of their last 20 games in Segunda, and Cadiz profile is very much the same class.

As usual, I struggle to see Cadiz scoring more than once, and in the preseason Alaves have managed to score goals, and as they also faced better opponents I have a good feeling about this one. 0-0 may not be far away, but an away win would be no surprise.
