In my opinion Angers have really good chances to make at least one point in today’s match up.

I see big difference between both teams in terms of quality, potential and ambitions.

Angers have been relegated from Ligue1, but they wants to bounce back there soon as possible. Obviously, they had horrible season, but they kept all their top players from previous season in the squad. Central midfielder Nabil Bentaleb was the best player (according to the ratings) – he also was second-best scorer and best assistant. Other central midfielder Himad Abdelli (second-best player according to the ratings) stayed in club, same as defensive midfielder Batista Mendy (third-best player according to the ratings), key striker Hunou or second-best assistant Pierrick Capelle. On the paper Angers team looks good enough to fight for the promotion, no doubt about that.

On the other hand Laval finished previous season on 14th place in Ligue2. For me is hard to see them as a better team than Angers especially with those big changes during the break. 3 best scorers from previous season: Elisor, Naidji and Maggiotti are not in club anymore, same as best player (according to the ratings) Bobichon and best assistant N’Chobi. For sure that will have very bad impact on team performance in new season.

Angers have really good record against Laval as they didn’t lost against them in 12 of last 14 matches. I see really strong value on away side.
