In July, Minnesota has 6 wins and 4 losses. While the record seems very good, overall it isn't. Yes, they beat the Liberty on Friday but New York had a back-to-back game. I can't say that the other 5 wins were something impressive: at home only +5 against the injury-prone Mystics, only +3 at home versus the Sparks, two wins over the Mercury and one against the Fever. Minnesota is playing without their best-scorer Napheesa Collier, and the team will feel the absence of her. Out of the 4 losses this month, only one was by less than 11 points. While Minnesota has 6 road wins in 11 games, their net rating is -4.9. Connecticut has 2 wins over Minnesota this year (the last game was +21) and this should be 3rd win.

2nd match is between Atlanta Dream and Washington Mystics, and I predict that the Dream will cover the handicap. In the last 11 games, the Dream has 8 wins and the team has lost only to New York and Connecticut. At home, Atlanta has won 4 out of the last 5 games and their net rating in July is 4th best (+13). Interesting that at home this year, Atlanta has 6 losses. The 1st loss was against the Fever at the start of the season, while the other five have been against the Sun, Liberty, and Aces.

We all know the story with the Mystics - injuries, injuries, and one more time injuries.
