Firstly. Sarpsborg will have to pick themselves up from their cup exit and turn their attention to this upcoming contest, where they will look to continue their fine home form, having won three of their last four home matches in the Eliteserien. They have also won their last four competitive home games against HamKam since suffering a 4-2 defeat in June 2007. Sarpsborg had an unimpressive start to this season but have returned back to the winning ways by sealing two wins in the last three league matches. They climbed into 6th position with those victories.

Secondly. Ham-Kam had a dreadful start to this season. They have lost nine of their total 13 league matches since the beginning of the campaign and are sitting at second from the bottom of the table. With their cup run now over, they will now focus on their relegation fight, with them currently sitting below the relegation playoff spot on goal difference and one point adrift of safety altogether. They have however lost all six of their away games in the top flight this season; so getting a result from this encounter will be a tricky one for them.

HamKam have lost all their six away league games this season, and I think their away-day struggles will be exploited by a Sarpsborg side who have won three of their last four home matches in the Eliteserien. The home form of Sarpsborg looks so impressive of late. They are on a five-match unbeaten streak and won the past four league matches in a row. So, I am expecting a win for Sarpsborg from this encounter.
