Stabaek welcome Rosenborg to the Nadderud Stadion (Bekkestua) for the Norwegian Eliteserien match on Sunday evening. Even having lost two of their last three league fixtures, Stabaek are just three points adrift of third-placed Tromso; and instead of trying to consolidate their survival in the top flight after coming back from relegation, while there are a number of teams between them, they have been left chasing a target, rather than being overly concerned with trying to stay out of the bottom three. They had been on a good run of form until their recent loss. But their home form has been quite impressive, having not lost any game at home in this campaign.

Secondly. Rosenborg are not having a great season at the moment. They have now lost five of their last eight games, while conceding 13 goals along the way. Being two points closer to the relegation scrap means that Rosenborg are looking over their shoulder just a few months after they finished in third spot in the table. Their away form in the league has not been encouraging as well this season as they have lost two and drawn two of their four away games this season.

Stabaek are in the better form to get a win from this encounter, and the home advantage plays into their favour as they have been quite formidable at their home ground. But Rosenborg are still a good team on a good day, and are still capable of getting a result from this game. So, it is either going to be a win or a draw for Stabaek.
