Regardless of the result of the Twente-Ajax match, they need only 1 point from this match and will manage to keep the 2nd place in the table. They could have entered this match even more relaxed if they managed to defeat Heerenveen in the last round on their home field. The result was 3-3, which hardly anyone expected. During the season they played very well and it is hard to say anything negative about their game. Even when they were without their best player, Gakpo, they continued to play convincing games and won points very easily. Nevertheless, AZ is one of the better teams in the league and they are certainly not a team to be underestimated.
