I may regret this pick as HIFK have been really poor against the expectations and results all season, but the good results do bring a positive spin, and the home side JJK is a promoted side who perhaps have fought rather well, but come short material-wise against any opponent in this league.

It has to be remembered that before the season,a few weeks ago, HIFK were the biggest candidate for promotion along with TPS, whereas JJK are the favourites to go down.

The recent results are like this:

JJK last round away at another promoted team were so horrible that if they continue that way they have no chance. As their style is based on playing short passes on the ground - an ambitious ball possession way - it does not give them any favours that it is still almost winter at Jyväskylä and the pitch is almost unplayable, very uneven. As HIFK are more straight-forward and rely on individual skill it suits them a lot better,

Both have conceded 5 goals so far, but it is easy to see that the defense of HIFK is far stronger, and even some of the experienced defenders are slow their experience is a key in a game like this where quick runs and passes are unlikely. The home side JJK is physically small and weak and they will lose most duels, especially in the key areas.

No major absentees in either camp, I see experience winning today even if I still have big doubts over HIFK in general.
