Aalborg VS Silkeborg

Aalborg and Silkeborg lock horns in this Danish Cup, also known as Landspokal Cup, semi-final 2nd leg game at Aalborg Portland Park. Both teams play in the Danish Superliga – in the Relegation Group more specifically. This league is of decent level as a whole by global standards. However, the best Danish teams occasionally do quite well in UEFA's club competitions. Silkeborg in fact, had a very strong season last season and finished 3rd in the Superlija which earned them a place in UEFA's competitions.. Football fans and us bettors have a reason to expect a particuLARLY high-level game here – even by Danish standards. However, most importantly, we have yet another very lucrative betting opportunity here! Last week we  comfortably won a bet on this competition. Silkeborg currently occupy the 3rd place in the Relegation Groupstandings with 31 points. A total of six teams play in this group. Their number of expected points (xPTS) is much hugherthough – 37.11 to be precise. They have netted the ball 38 times in this league so far this season. Their number of expected goals (xG) is 44.12 Yes, they are the better team here in all areas of the game. I want to highlight that Allborg have not beaten Silkeborg in any of the latest eight encounters between the two teams. 

Aalborg are having an abysmal season and have just 23 points to their account. However, their xPTS is a bith higher – 24.22. The they are the in the second-last place in the standings are at huge risk of being relegated. Two worst teams face this horrible fate. Aalborg are currently four points behind Horses, the last team in ”safety” at the moment. I expect them to prioritise the Superliga over Landspokal Cup and would not be surprised if the hosts' coach were to do some club rotation..  Being relegated would be a catastrophe for Aalborg. The biggest, usually somewhat smart bookies that accept the biggest bets from customers once again underestimate Silkeborg here! They were the better team as a whole in the first leg despite the 1-1 draw  and have potential for clear  improvement. The bookies see the hosts as solid favorites – offering them odds of around 2.40 to win during 90 minutes of play. With today's expected lineups I cannot agree.. Taking the substantial home advantage into account I see the visitors only as narrow favorites though. However, we will take the +0.5 goals handicap for Silkeborg – even a draw would be enough for us to win! Aalborh have won just two of their latest 10 games – Silkeborg have not been in great form either but have had some bad luck in quite a few games this spring.
