Osasuna travel to Estadio Nuevo Mirandilla to take on Cadiz for a Round 31 match of La Liga on Tuesday night. Cadiz will be hoping to avoid drop to the relegation zone, while Osasuna will seek to keep their push for the top six alive as both teams square off on Tuesday night. Cadiz are currently placed on 15th position in the league table with 32 points, two points away from the relegation zone, after 30 games played. They drew 0-0 against Espanyol who themselves are battling relegation too. Meanwhile, Osasuna currently are occupying the 8th position in league table on 41 points, six points behind 6th placed Villarreal, after same 30 games played. Osasuna recorded an impressive 3-2 win over Real Betis in their last outing. For this encounter, I am expecting a win or a draw for Osasuna. These are why:

Firstly. Osasuna are still in race for the European spots in La Liga standings. Despite their recent mixed form, they still find themselves in the mix for the top six. They have now won two of their last three games, after they had failed to win any of their previous five games before that. They will be extra motivated to keep their top six hopes alive by beating struggling Cadiz who have lost two of their last two home games. Osasuna may not be one of the top attacking teams, but they sure are good defensively. They should not be posed with much threat against a team with one of the worst attacking records in the league.

Secondly. Cadiz's recent form has not proven to be one that should pose a threat to Osasuna. They have only won a game in their last seven games. Their main problem throughout the season has been their inability to create and score goals. They have only scored 23 goals in 30 games. This is the second worst attacking record in the league. They have now failed to score in three of their last four league games. With their general home form not particularly impressive, with only four home wins all season and having lost their last two home games, I am not very confident of their chances against Osasuna.

Osasuna have been impressive against Cadiz in their previous meetings; and I expect same to continue on Tuesday night. But considering that Osasuna have not been totally dependable recently and Cadiz have got a fight against the drop from the Spanish top flight in their hands, I cannot write Cadiz off totally. So, I am expecting a win or a draw for Osasuna from the game.
