The reigning champions Häcken have played 9 matches on year 2023, with results of 8-1-0, the odd draw coming in a friendly v strong Norwegian club Odd in February.

Häcken were a bit of a surprise champions as usually the title goes to Malmö or Stockholm, but they have more or less kept or even strengthened their squad for this season and would not be such a surprise to renew the title!

Häcken have lost top scorer Jeremejeff, and the question is if he can be replaced. My answer is yes! Ola Kamara can score 20 goals this season, there is a very promising youngster Momodou Sonko, there is Sadiq who according to some local specialists may be the leagues best players, there is Traore who is returning from a long injury break.
