Heracles has been playing fantastically lately and is on a very good path to join Zwolle in the top tier of Dutch football. They have won 5 in a row with an incredible goal difference of 20 goals scored and only 3 goals conceded. There are still 8 rounds left until the end of the championship and it is very difficult to expect that Heracles will lose the advantage it has over the closest competitor. The difference between them and the third placed team in the table is 14 points and it would be a huge surprise if they lose that advantage. In the last round, they won much harder than expected. They defeated Den Bosch 3-2 at home and the fact that they allowed one of the worst teams in the league to score 2 goals can be a little worrying. Almere is certainly not a team to be underestimated. They are just behind Heracles in third position in the table and they can boast of their recent form. They have a record of 3 wins, 1 loss and 1 draw in the last 5 games. They lost to Venlo, which is right behind them in the table, and unlike the other teams in the league, they are one of the more consistent teams. They have an extremely good defense and along with leaders Zwolle, they have conceded the fewest goals in the league. In the last 10 games, they conceded 7 goals, which is a great success in a league rich in goals as this one. Almere is not in this position in the table by chance, it certainly has players who can deal with the players of Heracles, as shown by the meeting from the first part of the season when they won 3-2. We can certainly consider Heracles as a slight favorite, but I honestly do not expect that they will achieve a convincing victory in this match. Even if it happens, it will hardly be with a two-goal difference.
