Spain's new era began with a big win over Norway in the first group stage game of the European Championship qualifiers. Luis De la fuente is going for his second win in just two games in charge and the golden generation of the Red Fury are candidates to top this group. Scotland had a similar result against Cyprus but playing against Spain is a different ball game and I'm tipping the Spanish national team to make it six points from two games. Here's why you should bet on a win for Spain;

FIRST REASON

La Roja is one of the most historical teams in European football and they have always impressed in the last decade irrespective of their squad. Last year they faced a lot of criticism with squad planning but they still managed to beat top teams like Portugal en route to the knockouts of the UEFA Nations League. This year's qualifiers isn't going to be different and Spain is an even more complete team with Luis De la fuente selecting three strikers (Joselu, Iago Aspas, and Borja Iglesias) from La Liga, something which the Spanish national team has lacked in recent years. Scotland isn't as present at big tournaments like Spain and it mostly boils down to the quality of players available. They are not as glossy as the Red Fury and I don't see them picking up any points against Spain; something they have never done, so an away win for Spain is quite an easy bet to make.

SECOND REASON

Spain has met Scotland twice in both the group stages of the World Cup qualifiers and the European Championship qualifiers. It's not really hard to guess the results of both games; Spain were winners on both occasions and they had a fairly easy task last time they faced Scotland, beating the Scottish team 3-1. Meanwhile Scotland's only win in the last three games was against a Cyprus team that is not up to an average team. That result shouldn't be a measure of their strength against Spain and I think the Red Fury would beat Scotland with so much ease.
