The Euro 2024 qualification is continuing and on Friday night, the Czech Republic will host Poland. They both should qualify for the European Championship as they are in the E group with Albania, the Faroe Islands and Moldova. Since 2008, teams have met 5 times and the Czechs have won 3 times while Poland has 2 victories. In this game, I'm predicting that Poland won't lose backing them with a +0.5 handicap.

The Czech Republic's last official games were in September when they ended the Nations League campaign. Their performance wasn't very great as the Czechs won just 1 game, had 1 draw and 4 losses, they were last in the group and were relegated to League B. At home, the Czech Republic had 1 win, 1 draw and 1 loss as their only win was against Switzerland.

Poland played in the World Cup and showed a decent performance. The Polish team was able to get out of the group and lost to France in the 1st round. Prior to that, Poland was playing in the Nations League where they were 3rd in the group with the Netherlands, Belgium and Wales. Interesting that Poland had a better record on the road as they got 4 points away from home and 3 at home.

It looks like the Czech Republic is having a new start as 11 players are not included which played the last friendly game against Turkey in November. Six new players are on the roster while most of the squad daily are playing in the Czech national championship. If we speak about Poland, their star Nr. 1, of course, is Robert Lewandowski and they have 6 players from Italian Serie A, including Napoli's Piotr Zielinski who has had a phenomenal season so far.

It doesn't look like the Czechs are having the best possible roster right now. The Polish team is much experienced and they are the favorites to win the group. Poland very recently played in the World Cup and their roster now is better. You can't underestimate Robert Lewandowski who will be ready to tear down the opponent's defense. I'm confident that Poland won't lose this game.
