I dont see Getafe favorite here.

Getafe’s season is being terrible. Team is without any confidence and motivation, players and club have had internal problems with the coach who will leave the club when season ends, so lack of motivation is a fact in Getafe. And that’s why they have lost their strong point: a solid defence. They have conceded 32 goals so far, while also have the worst attack of the league scoring just 21 goals in 27 games played.

Getafe has won just 7 games and in the last 9 have lost 6 (2 draws and 1 win). Furthermore, for this match they will miss some key players: Mata (topscorer), Damian and Nyom. Another key player like Cucurella will play with mask due to a face injury in the nose.

On the other hand, Elche improved a lot with new coach Fran Escriba. Team is full of motivation to avoid relegation. In spite of their last results, performances were pretty good. But we must see the rivals: Sevilla (twice), Real Madrid, Granada, Barcelona and Eibar. In all of them played well, while managing to win vs Eibar and Sevilla.

I can’t see a team who has won just 7 games so far being such favorite here, especially without some key players and against a motivated side. Elche’s recent results may have not been perfect, but rivals were very strong and they played well. Doing the same today, should be able to achieve points against a weak side like Getafe, who has the worst attack of the league and a very vulnerable defence.
