Shakhtar Donetsk lost a game in Rome 3-0 but they weren't so bad as the result may suggest. Shakhtar created some good opportunities and they were competitive for most of the game. They won their last game in domestic championship 4-0 against Desna and the same squad is expected to play against Roma. The game will be played in Kyiv because of the military conflict in Donetsk. Shakhtar is very strong when they play in Ukraine, they are a very experienced team with a lot of Brazilian's in their squad who have a lot of games in Europe in their "legs". Roma played against Shakhtar 3 times in Ukraine and lost all three games. In those games, they scored only 1 goal and conceded 6 times. They will travel without some very important players, Vertetout, Mkhitaryan and Smalling are out so this will be a completely different game than that in Rome. Roma also has an important game against Napoli on Sunday so i think coach will try to rest some key players because Roma is still in the Champions League race. Shakhtar is very good squad and i think they could even win in Kyev but I will go with a safer bet and bet Shakhtar not to lose this game.
