Dundalk is without McCourt suspended. Mountney is injured.

Dublin is without Mikey Raggett.

Last season Dundalk ended rank 3 with 18 wins, 12 draws & 6 losses for 53 goals scored & 30 goals conceded.

Dublin on their side was one of the worst team of the league, they were saved by few from the relegation. They got 6 wins, 8 draws & 22 losses for 28 goals scored & 67 goals conceded.

New season means new squad. Dundalk lost some players comparing to last season. Bone, Macari, Bradley, Adams & McMillan left the team.

To replace those players they added Davies from Aldershot, Annesley from Blackburn U21, Muller from Milwall, Malley from Rochdale & Eliott. We can see that the philosophy for them is to go on some young good players.

On their side the team of the university lost players. Some of them were really important. Brennan, Duffy, Caffrey, Whelan, Lonergan & Ryan are the players who left.

To replace those players they added Wells from Wexford, Barr from Dungannon & some young players.

Dublin will get a very young team for this season without a lot of experience. I expect them to be that weak as last season. This week they played a university competition and got some games and they got only 48 hours to rest for this game and at least half of the team was playing as starter.

I expect Dundalk to start very well the season and win 3-0 or 4-0.
