Marinos in previous season failed to win in 9 of 17 away league matches. Leo - best scorer from previous season, moved to Cerezo. Nakagawa - best assistant from previous season, moved to Tokyo. Iwata - best defender from previous season, moved to Celtic. First goalkeeper Takoaka is also about to leave the club. Marinos played already one official match - they won 2:1 in super cup against Kofu from J2, but that wasn't convincing at all. Two key defenders Koike and Eduardo not played in that game and they are doubtful also today.
