Greuther Furth returned to winning ways last Saturday as they beat FC Nurnberg by a goal to nil. The visitors would be looking to extend their run as they pull closer to safety while Karlsruher SC is still searching for a first win this year.

After a tough year which saw them drop to the Bundesliga 2 just one year after promotion, Greuther Furth is looking comfortable heading into the second half of the season. Promotion is looking unlikely for Alexander Zorniger's team as they are 13 points off the top three but they would still fight to the end for a possible spot in the playoffs.

Greuther Furth's win last weekend was their fourth in as many as six games. The new year has produced a lot of good results for the visitors and they have lost just one game this year. Greuther Furth has mastered the art of limiting their opponents to very few chances during the games and it's no surprise that they have conceded just three goals in their last seven games with four clean sheets.

Karlsruher SC was denied three points in their game against FC Magdeburg last week. They opened the scoring very early in the game when Sebastian Jung made it 1-0 with his strike from outside the box. Karlsruher SC was in control of the second half but a late goal from Daniel Elfaldil means that they have to wait for their first win this year.

The result against FC Magdeburg was better than their previous game where they lost at home to Paderborn despite being favorites. Karlsruher SC has now lost twice in the last two games and have been victorious once in the last 12 games. The hosts went on a run of seven games without a win before the World Cup and although their defeats aren't as frequent, Karlsruher SC are not performing above average.

Greuther Furth looks to have put their poor start behind them and is moving up the table every week. They can make it three wins in a row and they arrive in better shape, playing against a side that has not won a game this year. It could well be an easy ride for the Cloverleaves.
