Lyon's quest for a top four finish took an unexpected turn when they dropped points at home to Brest. Next up for Laurent Blanc's team is a game away to Troyes. They are firm favourites to claim all three points at Stade de I'Abbe in Troyes.

Lyon had won two games in the French Ligue One before last week and they need to gain momentum with games coming fast and thick. The visitors have been very decent on the road under their new manager Laurent Blanc and with the recent wins they are prepared for a victory here.

With three of their four league games on the road this month, Lyon are set to benefit from their February fixtures of their away record is considered. They are winless in four successive domestic matches at the Groupama Stadium but they are unbeaten in four straight away games in all competitions.

Lyon's season has been overblown in a bad context but they have managed to stay competitive heading into the second half of the campaign. Only six points seperates the away team from the top six in the French Ligue One and in recent seasons, Lyon has always stepped up in the latter part of the season.

The appointment of a new coach hasn't been very beneficial to Troyes this season. They have won just one of their six domestic affairs since Patrick Kisnorbo was announced as head coach. Troyes have now gone five games without a win losing four or their last five matches.

Troyes has conceded in all six of their matches this year, with their only clean sheet in the French Ligue One ccoming at home in a goalless draw against Nantes near the end of 2022. They have also been suspect in attack and have only scored more than one goal in one of their last eight league games.

Lyon is luck to have Malo Gusto back on loan after the Midfielder signed a contract with the blues which is valid from next summer. With competition for places in the team, this is a good opportunity for Lyon's youngsters to make a case for a starting spot. There is no best time for Lyon to make it four consecutive wins against Troyes.
