Atalanta are currently in 5th place and only 1 point behind the very important Top 4 which will give them once again the Champions League qualification which is very important for this team. Early in the season Atalanta was one of the teams that suffered from last season, they had less rest than most of the teams and we saw Atalanta really struggling but lately Atalanta looks once again the team that they were in the past season playing really good football and especially the attack is finally clicking once again. In the last 6 games the team lost twice, 0:1 at home in the 1st leg against Real Madrid in a robbery, that red card in the 17th minute killed Atalanta chances in that game and they almost managed a draw and then they lost on the road against the leader of the Serie A Inter Milan by 0:1, in that game they were unlucky too, they played a good game and where most part of the game the much better team but they just don't managed to put the ball in the net with the chances that they had but in the other 4 games they beat Cagliari 1:0 on the road, Sampdoria 2:0 on the road, Napoli by 4:2 at home and Crotone by 5:1 at home. For this game Atalanta are without Hateboer and Sutalo.

Spezia main goal is to survive in the league and so far so good, they are sitting at 15th place and have a nice 6 point advantage of the relegation zone but we saw they having some bad results lately, especially on the road who they got beat badly by Fiorentina and Juventus by 3:0 in both games. Spezia is a team who has a lot of defensive issues especially when facing the elite teams on the road, they suffered 3 goals from Milan and Juventus and 4 goals from Roma for example and today they will face the 2nd best attack in the league and the only reason they aren't the best attack is because of their slow start, but Atalanta has finally picked up their shape and are looking once again really dangerous and even they haven't scored against Inter Milan they created enough chances in that game to score multiple times, so I expect Spezia having a hard time to stop Atalanta from scoring here. For this game Spezia are without Rafael, Mattiello, Saponara, Provedel and Krapikas.

This is a important game for Atalanta for many reasons, it's important for them to get the 3 points to end the season in the top 4 but it's also important for them to have here a great game to give them confidence for the 2nd leg against Real Madrid what will be tough but it isn't impossible because Real Madrid ain't playing nothing special right now and Atalanta are in shape and I think that Spezia is the perfect opponent for them to get here a big confidence boost for that game and I believe that Atalanta will be able to beat Spezia by 2 or more goals here, the difference between both teams are big in my opinion and Atalanta attack should have no issues to score here multiple times, I like them to win here by 3:0 or 3:1.
