England fans began to conclude anyway that the team was on their way to World Cup gold after the big win, but when you followed up that win with a lackluster performance and a draw against the USA, things changed. After all, the end of the group stage was positive for England, as they beat Wales 3-0. The team has scored a total of nine goals going forward, but somewhat worryingly, attacking star Harry Kane has not netted a single time, despite starting every game. Instead, however, players like Marcus Rashford and Bukayo Saka have stepped forward with double goals. Half of Senegal's World Cup hopes were destroyed even before coming to Qatar, when it was clear that Sadio Mane would miss the championship. Despite missing their big star and despite starting the WC with a loss, they have managed to qualify for the round of 16. This through victories against both Qatar and Ecuador. Senegal will play today without Idrissa Gueye and Cheick Kouyate, two very important midfielders, and I think England will win in this part of the field. Harry Kane is not scoring goals but he is assisting his teammates which is another quality of his but it is a matter of time when he will start scoring. I don't expect a lot of goals here, the stakes are very high but in the end England should outscore Senegal. English players have a lot of quality and they should proceed to the next round. Senegal already made a big surprise by advancing from the group stage, but I think their journey ends here.
