Girona VS Cadiz

Girona welcome Cadiz for this Spanish LaLiga round 9 at Estadio Municipal de Montilivi Saturday evening Beijing time. This is the second-best league in the world after English Premier League. I do not expect a particularly entertaining match here but there is a lucrative betting opportunity! We will go for the 10th straight winner in LaLiga betting on Girona to win. The visitors’ players have a total market value of just 65 million – a low number by LaLiga standards. The market values can, of course be, misleading, but the bookies and many professional football bettors pay more and more attention to these numbers.. The football (players) market is, after all, a global one. However, if two players are equally good and one of them is 21 years old and the other is 31 years old the younger guy, of course, has a much bigger market value. In my view the 91.60 million is too low! At least four players are under-valued. Yangel Herrera, a loan from the best club in the world, Manchester City, is surely worth more than the listed 14 million! Cadiz are, in my view, weaker on the pitch than the 65 million would indicate.. At least four players are, in reality, not worth their listed market value. Let's remember that despite the fact that Girona do not have best home fans,the home advantage is still substantial as Cadiz usually struggle on the road and often lack sondidence to control the ball and pass it patiently to break the opponents' defense.

Cadiz will probably try to defend very hard here and would probably be happy with a draw. They are simply a very limited team offensively and their strikers and midfielders lack the skill to regularly score at this level. They have, in fact, scored just once away from home so far this season. This goal brought them a very lucky win over Valladolid. Indeed, Valladolid were clearly the better team on the pitch and recorded six shots on goal – Cadiz had just one. The expected goals numbers were 2.21 – 0.49 in favor of the hosts who are not even a very good team.. The hosts also had close to 20 scoring chances and much more passes, completed passes, attacks and dangerous attacks. Furthermore, Cadiz would have deserved just three points in terms of expected points but actually have five to their account. Girona, on the other hand, have been unlucky and would have deserved four more points -12 that is. This might partly explain the under-valuation on the betting market.. Girona are better than the visitors in all areas of the game and I rate them as the 13th best team in this league of 20 clubs total.
