A very important game between Croatia and Ukraine in Group C. Before the last round of games, Ukraine is in 2nd place with 3 wins and 1 loss while Croatia record is 2-2, sitting in the last place. Both teams will play in the TOP16 but their place in the standings is yet to be determined. Croatia has lost close games against Italy and Greece, one tough win was against Estonia but Great Britain was blown out. Ukraine went through the Brits, came back and won against Estonia and surprised the Italians. The only loss came against Greece.

Croatia is the favorite in this one and there is no doubt that they should win. It is a crucial game for them because a loss would mean that they are in 4th place and will play against Serbia in the first round. No one wants to play against Serbia in the playoffs, especially Croatia who could make some noise as Bojan Bogdanovic announced that this could be his last tournament. We don't know yet the standings in Group D but I am sure that Croatia will do anything to avoid Serbia.

It is important for Croatians to win with at least 9 points because they will give the lead in the tiebreaker between Croatia, Italy and Ukraine if all three teams will end with 3 wins and 2 losses. It is almost impossible that Italy is going to lose against Great Britain so Croatia should play hard all 40 minutes.

Croatia has a bigger depth. Bogdanovic, Jaleen Smith, Mario Hezonja, Dario Saric, and Ivica Zubac – all score at least 9 points per game while on the Ukrainian side the only player with at least the same amount is Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk – more than 19. At the same time, other Ukrainian players have shown great performances. I think that there's going to be an over, as Croatia will run and try to get as big lead as possible while Ukraine will fight until the end. With the win, Ukraine will be in second place so they are going to do anything to stay competitive.

Israel and the Czech Republic will battle for the last spot in the TOP16. Right now, in a better situation is Israel as they have 2 wins and 2 losses while the Czechs have only one win. Israel hasn't won in the last two games as both wins were at the start of the tournament. Before the tournament, we thought that Czechia is going to be better, but performances have been poor.

Israel played well against Serbia but very poor against Poland. Especially team leader Deni Avdija who scored only 3 points. Now is the time for him to step up and show the performance he had against Finland at the start of the tournament. Tomas Satoransky has participated only in two games and hasn't shown the best offensive performance.

In my opinion, this is a toss-up. Although the Czechs will play in front of their fans, previous games don't let me think that they are ready for the next round. The best player in this matchup is Avdija who should be ready to dominate. The Czechs already blew the last game versus Finland and there could be too much pressure on them, meaning Israel should be ready to ready to use this opportunity and secure a place in the next round.
