In my opinion Alkmaar is clear favorite of today's match up and they should be able to make comfortable win today.

I see big difference between both teams in terms of quality, ambitions and potential. Alkmaar finished previous season in top5 and they didn't sold their best players like Karlsson or Pavlidis. Nijmegen finished previous season in bottom half of the table and that was good for them. Unfortunately, their best scorer and best assistant from previous season Jonathan Okita left the club. That should be visible in long-term.

So far in current season Alkmaar showed good potential at the back - they kept two clean sheets in 3 matches and in each game their opponents had expected goals scored number below 1.01. On the other hand Nijmegen conceded at least one goal in all three matches so far. I don't see problems with goalscoring for Alkmaar as they more than one goal in 5 of last 6 matches in all competitions (Eredivisie + Conference League).

Alkmaar also coming here with good mental advantage as they won last match between both teams in March at Nijmegen stadium 3:1. Alkmaar should be able to control middle zone without big problems as they are one of the best team with the ball in whole league (64% average ball possession, 487 accurate passes per game), Nijmegen is much worse in that department (48.8%, 303). Because of that I see many opportunities to score for hosts and routine win at the end of the day.
