Shelbourne VS Bohemians

Shelbourne welcome Bohemians for this Irish Premier Division round 28 clash at Tolka Park in Dublin for early Saturday morning Beijing time. This league is not of very high level by global standards but often offers lucrative betting opportunities for the smart bettor! A quite balanced match is on the cards and the biggest, sharpest bookies see this more or less as a coin toss (50-50%) at the time of writing this analysis at least. Their defense is pretty solid though and they take most of their points through well-structured defense and often aim at scoring on counterattacks.

Shelbourne were promoted to the highest level for this season but are still a very small team by financial resources even by Irish standards and do not have any stars in the squad. They have improved during the latter part of the season and can now handle the higher tempo than in First Division much better than early season. I have, as a result raised their power rating that illustrates the teams’ pure class, but the betting market seems to be too have gotten too excited about them and they are over-valued here. Quite weirdly Shelbourne were even clear favorites in this clash on the betting market. Before this they took three winds but all the opponents Bray (in a cup match) UC Dublin and Finn Harps are quite weak teams and I was not too excited by their performances.. Bohemians are the better team here in all areas of the game but especially offensively. Their have lost two of their most recent matches against Sligo and Rovers but would have deserved a draw in both games. Let’s also remember that Dundalk are one of the strongest teams. The visitors are the 5th best team in my view in this league, but I expect Drogheda to topple Shelbourne and take the 7th place in the standings before the season ends.
