This is the last group phase match of Finnish cup. PK-35 have won both, TPS have a win and a loss.

Last year TPS got relegated from Veikkausliiga, PK-35 got promoted from Kakkonen, so now both are in Ykkönen which is the 2nd highest tier in Finnish football pyramid.

With this background it is understandable that TPS is seen as the favourite, but when we look at the lineups the picture is strongly changed!

PK-35 have also 7 players with Veikkausliiga experience, but in addition to that also some very good young players like Adam Yassin and Jonathan Muzinga, and judging by the lineups PK-35 might have the better players on the pitch.

TPS are coached by national team legend Jonatan Johansson, but he lacks experience from the job and his first season ended in a relegation. PK-35 have an ambitious coach in Kim Raimi.

Goalkeepers are about even classwise.

The defenders at TPS are not any better than their counterparts in PK-35.

The midfield of PK-35 with Rantanen and the beforementioned wingers Yassin and Muzinga is a lot more interesting than the one of TPS, and the weakness currently of both teams is the attack which is shy of talent. All in all PK-35 would be narrow favourites in my books if we consider the material and the matches played so far this winter. This is indoors, without any audience so the home advantage is minimal.
