No sense seeing Eibar favorite here. Elche is truth that has a huge lack of quality, has bad stats and their results have been terrible. But I see a competitive team, players trying to give their best and are just two points below relegation, so the confidence and motivation is high.

The coach resigned last week after the defeat against Celta. Now Elche has a new boss: Fran Escribá, well known in the club and he did a great job when he was there some years ago. I’m expecting players with extra motivation with the new coach, as I’m sure they are happy with the change on the bench.

At home Elche has been pretty competitive and a difficult team to beat. Only won 1 game, but on the other side only lost 4 of 11 played. Just one more than Real Madrid, for example.

On the other hand, Eibar has been a rollercoaster this season. Started really bad, then improved a lot and achieved great results, and now are again in bad shape - winless in the last 8 official games played. The team is suffering a lot especially in defense, as they have conceded goals in every game lately.

Eibar has a very well known football style, and teams already know how to damage them. Their season has been bad in general, only having 3 points more than Elche with 2 more games played. They aren’t either a strong away team, as this year 2021 they are winless as visitors.

I think this will be a very tight game. With new coaches teams use to improve a lot in defence, trying to keep the goal to nil and then achieve at least a draw. Eibar has a very weak attack (only 19 goals scored so far, same as Elche) and with new coach Elche will improve a lot their defence, so I don't think it will be easy for guests to create danger here.

Both sides will be nervous, Elche will be ultra motivated and Eibar won't know what they will have upfront, as with new coach hosts will be totally different as they were. A draw would be fine for both, and honestly is the result I’m expecting here. Anyway, I can’t see Eibar favorite in a 50-50 game like this one, so I’m happy to take the double chance for the motivated home side here.
