Utsikten vs Trelleborg

Utsikten hos Trelleborg for this Superettan round 18 clash at Bravida Arena in Gothenburg, This is the second tier of Swedish football and is of relatively low level by European standards. It is, however, a lucrative league to bet on as bookies often make mistakes with their odds and my fans and I have reached pretty good results with our Superettan bets. There seems to be yet another pricing error in this match. Utsikten are a quite strong home team but surely their fans are not among the most enthusiastic in this league. I was, in fact, very disappointed on their latest performance at home as they lost to under-performing Örgryte 0-1. This was one of the few picks my fans and I have lost betting on Superettan. Uitsikten did have 54% ball possession and recorded more scoring chances (12-4), shots on target, attacks and dangerous attacks but the actual goal expectancy was smaller than those statistics would indicate. They lacked offensive creativity, structure and especially in the first half were often passing the ball at a too low tempo and with insufficient accuracy. Let’s remember that Örgryte currently occupy the 15th placed in the standings in this league with a total of 16 teams.. In their most recent match, they did not have much of a chance away from home against Öster and suffered a fully deserved 1-3 loss. Öster created much more in expected goals and Utsikten’s defense looked very vulnerable. Öster a are good, but not team in Superettan – currently in the 4th place. Once again Utsikten were lame offensive recording just two shots on target - Öster recorded nine. The team seems to have really lost their confidence! Before the matches mentioned above, they were not as bad as the final scores would indicate though. On the 24th of July they lost to Öster 0-2 away from home and before that Halmstad crushed them 4-0. I expect them their coach to at least try to organize the defense a bit better and try to avoid the fifth consecutive loss and perhaps even a “panic mode” Indeed, I see this match as more low-scoring and the draw as a more probable results than the betting market does and the chance for my fans and me to win the recommended +0.5 on the visitors is 66%. In my view there is no favorite in this battle.

The hosts have now played five matches in a row without a win, Trelleborg, on the other hand, are in a pretty good form. They did, however, suffer a heavy defeat in their most recent match 0-4 in the hands of Halmstad and this result probably affects to odds in the betting market too much. I have not reacted to this match too match though.. We must realize that Halmastad are a quite dominant team in Superettan and currently top the standings with whopping 41 points to their account! Their goal difference also tells a lot – 41:17. Brage in the second place have grabbed nine points less so far. The 0-4 final score is super-misleading! Indeed, Trelleborg had close to 60% ball possession and more scoring attempts, shots on goal, attacks and especially dangerous attacks – 100- 37! The visitors are definitely better than Utsikten by pure class and have three more points than the hosts in the bank and currently occupy the 6th place. Before the Halmstad match they beat Norrby 2-3 away from home as clear underdogs according to the bookies after a balanced match. On the 25th of July they comfortably beat Skovde 2-1 at home allowing the visitors just one shot on target. They are also a pretty good team away from home losing just three games on the road so far this season.
