Yokohama Marinos and Kawasaki fought a long battle last season for the title in Japan, Kawasaki was much more composed in the end and managed to win the title. Yokohama Marinos players have certainly not forgotten how last season Kawasaki players won games in stoppage time and that must have demoralized them a bit. Now the situation is reversed and Kawasaki is chasing Yokohama. Kawasaki is no longer as dominant as it was in previous seasons, and this can be seen from the team's results. They have just three wins in their last 10 games in all competitions and the team is in a bit of a slump. In the last five rounds, they have only won at home against Gamba Osaka by 4-0, but that is not surprising considering how Gamba is playing this season, especially away from home. Kawasaki's game is based too much on the Brazilian Damiao, who is not having a good season and is no longer as lethal as the previous few seasons. The guests come as favourites, they play the best football in Japan and it's really a pleasure to watch them. Leo Ceara is the herald of the colony of Brazilians in the team and although he will not start the game today, I expect him to enter the second half. In my opinion, Yokohama is the strongest team in Japan next to Hiroshima, they just lost to Hiroshima 3-1 away from home, but that defeat did not disturb the team much and I think they are much more prepared than Kawasaki at the moment. I expect an open game, Yokohama will surely go for 3 points here because there is a great rivalry between these two teams and I think they are currently closer to victory.
