Chaves prepared really well this season in my opinion, they lost the 2 centre-backs of the last season - Luis Rocha who joined Moreirense to try to get promoted one more time in his career and the amazing talent Alexsandro to Lille but was almost impossible to handle him due his amazing talent and potential. They decided to resign with the winger Wellington Carvalho and I believe was a good option as he had some technical problems and Juninho is much better than him but was injured a lot of time in the last season and missed some games. Chaves at home will be for sure one of the best teams in the league apart from Benfica, Sporting and Porto as the population from the city of Chaves love football and put the stadium always full with a very good crowd. They have 2 amazing talents in the midfield, Joao Mendes who was in Tondela and Estoril and the best player from the last season Joao Teixeira formed on Benfica that is now the captain of the team too, but for sure won't stay more than this season in club from the North of Portugal, the left-back of Chaves Bruno Langa for sure will leave the club in the future as he has an amazing potential. In the last season they were one of the best defenses of the 2nd League after Casa Pia and the best defense at home. The coach Vitor Campelos do not have any important absence for this game.

Probable line-up: Paulo Vitor; Joao Correira - Steven Vitoria - Nelson Monte - Bruno Langa; Kevin Pina - Joao Mendes - Joao Teixeira; Batxi - Juninho and Hector Hernandez.

Vitoria Guimaraes will have a lot of problems this season, that's what I expect before the start of the competition and after the win at home for UEFA Conference League by 3-0 against Puskas Academy I ended up doubting a bit, but they confirmed it then after drawing 0-0 as away and with a very defensive approach by new coach Moreno and mainly after the terrible game they did against Hajduk Split where they lost 3-1 and were completely dominated specially in the 2nd half and the croatian team was missing their best striker Kalinic. They are facing many financial problems and that's why the club decided to sell some important players to make some important money for them like Marcus Edwards, Rochinha both to Sporting, Borevkovic, Rafa Soares, Sacko, Oscar Estupinan, Bruno Duarte, Jorge Fernandes is injured and their best player now is in doubt and they will probably rest him for the next game against Hajduk Split (2nd leg of the eliminatory at their own stadium) - Andre Almeida. At home I expect them to make some good results as they are the 4th team in Portugal with more supporters after Benfica, Sporting and Porto. This 1st game of the league will be between the Conference League eliminatory against Hajduk Split and so the coach can make some rotation to rest the best players.
