For the news season they got some interesting players like Botman, Targett and Pope and maintained all their important players from last season so this season Newcastle should have a very good year in my opinion, they aren't ready for the Top 4 yet but for sure they can fight to end the season in the Top 8 or even fight for the Top 6. For this game Newcastle is without Manquillo, Fernandez, Lewis and Shelvey.

Nottingham Forest is finally back in the Premier League after winning the Playoffs in the Championship and they made a big investment for the season, they got 18 new players and some of them are good one's like Lingard, Awoniji, Williams, Mangala, Niakhate, Richards and maybe Henderson. Even Nottingham Forest got a lot of new players that also presents a problem, it will take some time till this team plays like an collective team and that's why they played 7 friendly games to get some reps with the new teammates but overall in their friendly games they haven't looked good and I'm not sure if they are ready for the Premier League, especially in the beginning of the season because of all their new players who never played with each other, sometimes it takes some months to built a nice collective squad and today they will face a team who is pratically the same from last season and who ended their season on a really high note. For this game Nottingham Forest is without Richards and Yates.

For me Newcastle under Coach Eddie Howe is a legit team who plays really amazing football and especially at home they have been really impressive under his control and last season they ended on an amazing run at home beating almost every team that played their, especially the weaker teams they had no problems to beat and today for the start of their season I expect them to get the 3 points here, they will face a team who have a lot of new pieces and who looked a bit lost in their pre-season games and Newcastle looked sharp, even in their loss against a really good Benfica team they looked really good and were a bit unlucky to lose that game but overall right now and in this situation I give the clear edge to Newcastle to win this game, I see them beating Nottingham Forest by 2:1 or 3:1.
