The club I support, Red Star Belgrade, is going on a campaign for the Champions League, and the first opponent is Pyunik from Armenia. The odds on the home team winning is 1.15 and although I am surprised by such small odds, what I have seen this season from Red Star justifies such low odds. Pyunik is unknown to me, they eliminated Cluj in the first round which was a big surprise for me and in the second round, they eliminated Dudelange after a 4-1 win in Luxembourg although they lost the first match in Armenia by a minimal score. Armenians brought several players before the start of the season, but most of them on a free transfer, while the big loss for this team is the departure of Carballo, who scored 8 goals and had 3 assists last season. Although they played well against Cluj and Dudelange, now they will have a real test because they are visiting Crvena Zvezda, who dominates their stadium. The Serbian club started the domestic championship with a goal difference of 17-1. They are led from the bench by Dejan Stankovic, the legend of Lazio and Inter, and he has at his disposal a very strong team designed to play in the Champions League. The defence is commanded by goalkeeper Borjan and stopper Dragovic, who have a lot of experience in such matches. In the middle of the pitch, the tandem of Kanga-Katai-Ivanic was joined by Kangwa who came from the Russian Arsenal Tula, he is a very high-quality player who is a great reinforcement for Zvezda. In the attack, Pesic and Bukari were brought in and I think this is a team that will have no problem beating Pyunik. Zvezda plays the possession game, Katai is the leader and the brain of the team and most of the actions go straight from him and he will surely be the main threat to the Armenians. The fans of Zvezda create a great atmosphere and they will certainly give wind to the backs of their players. I think that Zvezda is much better at the moment, they play in their stadium, they are in good shape, they have much better quality players and I think that the -1.5 handicap will come without any problems. I expect a sure victory of Zvezda 3-0 or 2-0.
