Corinthians had already some ups and downs along this season, they started the season really well and were in the 1st place for some moments, but then with 3 draws and 1 defeat in 5 games they lost it to Palmeiras. Corinthians are one of the teams from Brazil with better players, they have Fagner, international from Brazil that won Copa America, Giuliano one of the most talented brazilian players but unfortunately the his focus is not on the most important, Renato Augusto, Paulinho who played already on Barcelona, Willian who won Copa America and 2 Europa League and even the striker Roger Guedes, this individual quality can be compared to the quality of Flamengo, but Corinthians have a much better coach Vitor Pereira. To give an idea about the quality of the portuguese coach, one of the most underrated Portuguese coaches, he made 2 seasons in Portugal in FC Porto and won 2 Portuguese Leagues against one of the best Benfica's ever with Garay, Cancelo, Javi Garcia, Gaitan, Witsel, Enzo Perez, Matic, Aimar, Saviola, Cardozo and Rodrigo and won too 2 Supercups. He made in total 60 games for the league and only lost 1 game, ONE. This was one of the biggest records in Portugal, only beated by Sergio Conceicao in the last season on Porto aswell. Good news for this game is that Corinthians will play 2 consecutive games at home, this one and after against Santos for the Copa do Brazil. As a coach the main objective of Vitor Pereira was always the league in every country that he worked in, and it won't be different and for that they need to win this game to keep chasing Palmeiras and keep fighting with them for the 1st position. They are one of the best individual teams in Brazil and with the tactical quality of Vitor Pereira they will be one of the best collectively without any doubt against this weak team of Goias.

Probable line-up: Cassio; Fagner - Gil - Raul Gustavo - Fabio Santos; Cantillo - Du Queiroz - Renato Augusto; Mantuan - Willian and Roger Guedes.

Goias are a very weak team in my opinion, a very defensive team due to the coach Jair Ventura. They have one of the best centre-backs of the league, Sidnei with a good past in Europa. They have some absences for this game, Reynaldo, Sidimar and Caetano and even Sidnei is a doubt for this game, if he misses this game is expected that the coach Jair changes the formation for the 1st time this season and play with 4 defenders instead of 3. They only won 1 game in the last 6 games and was against the weak Botafogo with 2 goals scored after the minute 75. They will play against one of the best teams, with a lot of misses and without the big must win of the home team. I cannot see Jair Ventura preparing another formation (4-4-2) in only one week to stop this talented players from Corinthians.
