Levante improved a lot in the last months, is a very solid side who is playing great football. Very offensive (they scored in La Liga the same amount of goals as Villarreal - 29), full of confidence and motivation in this tournament.

Thanks to their good position in La Liga (8th, 7 points above relegation) they can use the best lineup here and rest or make changes in the next league game at the weekend. Furthermore, the coach decided to not call any player from B team, so the lineup and bench for this match will be almost the best one.

At home, Levante feels so good and is a very hard team to beat. They are unbeaten in the last 8 home games - only lost one game so far this season, the first fixture against Real Madrid (0:2) in October.

Their Cup performances were good enough, winning against Valladolid 2:4 in the previous round. And for this match will be full of confidence after the weekend victory against Real Madrid (1:2) in La Liga.

On the other side, Villarreal is also a very strong team, but they have important missings for this match. Their best player and topscorer Gerard Moreno (one of the best spanish strikers) is injured, but also other important players have long term injuries: Mario Gaspar, Alberto Moreno, Chukwueze, Iborra. Furthermore, other players have small injuries: Foyth, Capoue and Yeremi Pino.

Due to the long list of issings, the coach is using in the last matches some young players from B team: Yeremi Pino, Fer Niño and Baena.

They suffered a lot in the previous Cup matches to qualify, both against teams from 2nd division. In both games (Tenerife and Girona) won 0:1, scoring at 90’ in the first case and suffering a lot conceding many chances in the second one.

Villarreal will use almost the same lineup, so I’m expecting a match where they will suffer a lot and most probably will need to play extra time to qualify.

Levante is a very offensive team and I see them totally able to score some goal here, as Villarreal use to have some mistakes at the back. I’d be worried with guests’ attack because the weak point of Levante is their defence, but without Gerard Moreno and with some youngsters or reserves like Bacca upfront, don’t see Villarreal too dangerous here.

I see Levante totally able to achieve a draw in the regular time.
