This in an interesting setup, as the teams have never met, and on the other hand they are in a heavy schedule and would need to rotate, but at both teams the quality drops significantly when the bench players are starting!

Last week Finland hosted Bosnia-Hertzegovina, those teams have met several times over the recent years and there were no surprises. Bosnia equalized on extra time, but it was more or less deserved.

Montenegro however produced an excellent performance at home vs strong Romanian side, won deservedly by 2-0 even if they played without their two biggest stars Savic and Jovetic. The Hertha Berlin striker Jovetic is also today a doubt,

Finland have the same problem ahead as always. The starting lineup is a decent one, but even one or two changes weaken it badly. After last season 3 backbones of the team have retired the team, centre-backs Arajuuri and Toivio, and midfielder and captain Sparv. Younger players are taking over those new positions,and although they are doing fine it means the bench is getting only weaker as there is no depth.

Finland have a reputation on being hard to beat, especially at home, but a look at recent home results reveal another story. Out of last 9 home games Finland have won only one, a 1-0 v Kazahstan!

Against Bosnia Finland started like this:

As soon as Schuller was substituted to Lam the problems arose, and he is not fully fit today either so change there is likely. Another new players in today are striker Pohjanpalo who had an excellent season in Turkey, and possibly keeper Joronen as Hradecky deserves a break too, as well as midfielder Kamara. There are two more matches next week!

Montenegro coach Radulovic promised a lot of changes to his team after the win over Romania as for them the next match v Bosnia is mentally a lot more important affair. Under these circumstances the lineup is impossible to predict, but for example Jovetic might jump in so all in all the lineup will not be totally helpless, and even if Montenegro are still narrowly behind Finland in UEFA rankings they do have more valuable players available.

Attacking-wise the key man is Djurgården's Haksabanovic and I trust him to keep his place, but for the others we can only make guesses which are not worth much. However it is going to be a 4-4-2, crosses from the width are an essential part and the new centre backs of Finland might sufffer, and if they need to build are more slowly there is threat of long shots by Haksabanovic.

As a conclusion this looks like a very affair, but I believe in the individual attacking players the decide this. It might be Pohjanpalo is he is properly fed - possibly not if Schuller and/or Lod are out - but I put my trust in Jovetic and Haksabanovic.
