Gameday in Vienna for the round 2 of the group 1 of the League A between Austria & Denmark.

Austria will be without their best player Alaba who is resting as he got some injuries lately and because of his CL final.

On their side Denmark will be without Kjaer, Norgaard & Dolberg.

Austria made a huge win on the road against Croatia who is a team very complicated to face on the road. They were very efficient but it wasn’t an hold up, they got 1,38 xG while Croatia got 1,23 xG.

Denmark on their side made a big win in France 1-2 with two goals of Cornelius. It wasn’t a deserved result, they got only 0,97 xG and France got 2,20 xG. Of course France has big name but they are playing really badly especially against team who is playing defensively, they have a lack of construction for their offense. Defensively some players of France failed their game.

This game is a very 50/50 game for me so it’s great to go on Austria who is playing in front of their fans, not having Alaba looked not bad for them, it was quite a game without pressure where they played all together and not trying to let Alaba make some difference like they are used to do.

In front they will count on Arnautovic who is in a good form, I was very disappointed when he was at SIPG as he wasn’t focus and serious but this serious in Italy he could bring a better level, not as before but he is stronger now. Midfield will of course be based on Sabitzer who is the key midfielder of this team, he is very important for the defensive tasks but he is also there to start action with the second line.

Austria will be motivated to take their revenge of the WC qual games where Denmark destroyed them at home 0-4.

I expect a close game here and 1-1 or 2-1.
