Celta are a team who live or die with their key players Tapia, Suarez, Nolito and especially Iago Aspas, and tonight they are all again together after several weeks. A period which also shows in their results and poor form!

Their worries started on January 2nd in Madrid... here are their latest 7 performances:

Before the absentees Celta were the team who played the best football in La Liga after their managerial change. Tapia was the defensive midfielder in charge of everything, Nolito and Aspas create the league's top attacking pair, Suarez is the glue between the these axis.

The hosts Granada have had mixed - and also too good results all season.

They are 7th in the league with 28 points, but they have been one the luckiest teams in La Liga as there are 7-8 points too many compared to expected goal data! They are more a relegation candidate then European class team in my papers!

The city of Granada are living through difficult times right now. The covid-situation is bad in all Andalucia, and to add more misery there have earthquakes recently which have kept the people in province worried and awake at nights.

Granada played a cup game midweek, took a record win vs a 2B side away, but it was with a rotated squad so it does not add much to tiredness. The impact of cup is more in future as they will host Barcelona in the quarterfinals next Wednesday! It must feel like a bigger game than this.

There are also several injuries in the squad, including their top striker Luis Suarez who has scored 5 so far, and a few defensive players are at least doubts and might be rested today.

Granada are not an easy nut to crack, but if Celta can repeat their performances of December when they were simply brilliant they are my clear favourites to win this, and score 2-3 in the process. Le us hope Aspas really is fully fit as promised!
