Iwate is ranked 21 with 3 wins, 2 draws & 8 losses for 8 goals scored & 21 goals conceded. They have the worst offense of the league and one of the worst defense of the league.

Varen is ranked 14 with 5 wins, 2 draws & 6 losses for 13 goals scored & 14 goals conceded.

Of course it won't be that easy as ranking might be expect but clearly there is a value on Varen @1,85. They invested a lot this season with foreigners as Cristiano who was an amazing signing for the second division.

The bad point about Varen is that the coach Hiroshi Matsuda isn't rotating that much so we are having most of the time the same players start and it's bad because he could give some time to interesting players.

Iwate's defense is weak about all points, they are in trouble on crosses, through balls, they have problems to defend in the last meters and committed penalties.

For me clearly Varen will dominate Iwate as they are stronger but they will have to be solid defensively and not concede a goal on the few actions that will get Iwate. In front if they use heavily the wings and crosses they will get big chance to score.

I expect 0-1 or 0-2.

One more time I'm going against Verdy who was doing an amazing early of season but of course it wasn't their real level and now they are in big trouble, they lost a lot of confidence after starting so good the season now they are facing 4 losses and 1 draw on the last games but already before the bad streak their performance were less good against Oita & Rykyu. They got some lucks about their goals scored who is above the xG of only 1,12

Vegalta on their side is the newly relegated team from J league 1 but clearly they are aiming to promote directly this season and they are doing great at the moment, with Desabato who was a great signing for the J league 2. They just need to be a bit stronger defensively because for a top team they are conceding a lot, the xG of their opponents this season is 1,82 so it's pretty high.

I expect a very good clash here, Vegalta to dominate a bit more and I expect 1-1 or 1-2.
